The image is important to me because it represents the direction that the world is going. Plastics ruin our earth and could result in the extinction of all life as we know it. The image is to spread awareness on the science of how the earth breaks down raw materials vs. plastics. Plastic water bottles can take over 450 years to decompose and our entire world runs on plastic. Plastic can also release harmful chemicals into the surrounding soil which can leak into the water supply. It harms the organisms that use the water greatly.
