Beyond the Mirror

Some scientists came to the conclusion that a mirror system in people form their background for social behavior, giving us our ability to imitate, acquire language, and show empathy and understanding. They are called mirror neurons because when an animal acts and watches the same action, they were thought to "mirror" movement, as though the observer were acting. In my photo I decided to use mirrors as a way to show that what a person sees in the mirror isn't what another person is seeing, we all perceive the world around us differently. I have learned that your mood can also affect the way you see yourself in a mirror, for example, if you looked in the mirror right after doing great on a test or making any other achievement you will find yourself more attractive than you really are, while if you looked in the mirror while you were already down then, most likely, you will see yourself through a different lens.
