I wanted to capture that experience and themes in "When Rivers Were Trails" in my way. Therefore, I created a minimalist art piece through PowerPoint. At first, I wanted the viewer of my work to connect it to the loss and renewal of a home, but now I have a different perspective. I believe it fits nicely to communicate about stigmas, specifically in "When Rivers Were Trails." Stigmas can be in the surroundings of your thoughts (such as the dark background) and try to crush your ideas or beliefs (the circle). However, stigmas do not completely control you and who you are (the circle never disappears permanently). That is why I believe my artwork greatly reflects the incredible "When Rivers Were Trails."
