In real life, we take our time to explore different places, such as a museum, and take in our environment. It is impossible to know everything that is happening without context. This relates to the game Gone Home because it simulates this aspect of real life.
As Kevin Veal states, "It is filled with the same detritus we expect from every-day lives yet which is barely ever included in game worlds" (cited in reed, et al. 132) This is relevant because the game mainly focuses on the smaller details to engage the player. Realistic teenage rooms filled with posters and vibrant colors; the picture of Oscar, the red hair coloring,
