Woodhill Homes
The Woodhill Homes are located at the intersection of Woodland & Woodhill Rds. in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Woodhill Homes were developed between 1938 and 1940 in a predominantly Hungarian and Italian neighborhood on the former site of Luna Park. Luna Park was an amusement park that closed around 1930, though its heyday was earlier in the 20th century. The Woodhill Homes were designed by architect Abram Garfield, son of President James A. Garfield. The site was originally developed with 63 buildings containing 560 units. The site also has a prominent community center.
The Woodhill Homes are currently under review for site redevelopment by Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
