Introduction: Controversies in Healthcare Philanthropy
Healthcare philanthropy is concerned with providing medical services to those in need and addressing the faults of privatized care; these initiatives are taken through foundations, medical charities, and nonprofit hospitals. Chapter 3 will discuss three main controversies in this sector of philanthropy:
