In the first three panels, the author is talking with her parents about the freedom of the country and the final consequence of Shah and her family. However, the panels on the middle page, turn to talk about the betray of the president of Egypt and Shah. Her father says "As long as there is oil in the Middle East we will never have peace" shows that her father feel pessimistic about Iran's future, which sets the scene for the rest of the book- Iran suffers an endless war for oil resources. The change in graphic weight makes readers aware the reason for the war in Iran. And the dark background on middle page magnify her father's pessimitic attitude.
