Using this layout, the author successfully shows that when Pedro is going to die, he feels that his own being is torn and he is very helpless. Each part of the panel gives some description of the situation and the experience of Pedro so that, at the end of his life, Pedro's value is interpreted from two aspects: subjective and objective. In his own view, he did what he can do; from other's views, he is a model of a good person. The combination of these two aspects is the conclusion of his life.
