The player must make choices about where they proceed, how they act, and who they meet. As Janet Murray says, “[players] feel a sense of powerfulness, of significant action, that is tied to [their] pleasure in the unfolding story” (Murray 130). With this, she explains that the choices that players make allow them to become more invested in the narrative. This is especially evident in Trigaea, where every page is a different choice, and there are thousands of potential paths to take, and dozens of endings. This allows the players to really feel like they are in control of the story, and have to explore and discover the best path.
