Beginning
Yet in Chapter 2, something is off. You go through this chapter with psychedelic bubbles that you can dash through, and overall it feels magical. Perhaps Celeste Mountain isn’t just a regular mountain.
Then you meet Badeline. She looks just like you, except with red eyes and purple hair. She describes herself as the pragmatic part of you, and discourages you from climbing the mountain.
Badeline is actually what represents Madeline’s insecurities and fears. She fears that Madeline will fail, and that she won't get accepted by her parents like Madeline wants. Badeline is the manifestation of anxiety, and throughout your climb, she continuously taunts you and tries to goad you into quitting.
