  It is also in place so that people who are more well-off can use their resources in order to aid others who are not as well-off.   Throughout this chapter, we will be comparing the issues faced by social justice philanthropy today and from the past. If we applied what we learned from the challenges of the historical examples to today's, we would be better equipped in fighting the rampant injustices that have plagued our nations for generations. Social injustice will always be an issue, but the way in which we approach these injustices can change--let's try and change it for the better.
