1881-1900



In 1885, the Kerr Professorship in Mathematics established by Laura Kerr Axtell in honor of brother Levi Kerr. In 1889, Dr. Charles S. Howe joins the faculty of the Mathematics department and in 1890, he becomes the Head of the department. In 1903, Dr. Howe was appointed president of the Case School of Applied Sciences.
