Rare Book Dust Rare book and manuscript collections are stored in environmentally controlled rooms with dedicated HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems; these systems maintain ideal temperature and relative humidity conditions in the room in order to help preserve the objects housed within.
