Fatigue at CASE The Art is created by using neural style transfer that is a machine learning optimization technique used to take two images—a content image (iconic image of CWRU) and a style reference image (scanning electron microscopy image of fatigue striations in Steel )—and blend them together so the output image looks like the content image, but “painted” in the style of the style reference image.
