19th at 100: Commemorating the Suffrage Struggle and Its Legacies in Northeast Ohio

Activities on Campus

The fight for suffrage was alive and well within the students at the College for Women of Western Reserve University. From pro-suffrage student organizations to mock campaigns and votes, students across campus found ways to get involved in the fight for political equality. Many students pressed for national suffrage for at least a decade before the 19th amendment was ratified in 1920.
