Vishnu Akella (Sociology & Political Science)
Freedman Student Fellow 2017–2018
Vishnu is a third-year undergraduate student double majoring in sociology and political science. His interests center on immigrant and refugee housing and rights. His project, “Dream Neighborhoods: Examining Cleveland’s Refugee Housing Communities,” looks at modern approaches to refugee housing, such as Cleveland’s International Village, in light of past practices highlighted within the Bohn Collection.
