My Body, Your Choice
"My Body, Your Choice” is a game set from the player's point of view that follows the story of a young girl who falls pregnant at the age of 16. Set in the state of Texas after the overturning of Roe v. Wade, she is forced to make hard decisions regarding her unwanted pregnancy - a consequence of the sexual assault she experienced from her high school classmate. Through this choice-based narrative, players are faced with a series of scenarios in which the choices they make affect the story's outcome in real-time. There are 4 different endings that readers can arrive at, all of which highlight different hardships and harsh truths of the abortion bans now being enforced in many US states. The goal of this game is to allow players to sympathize with the main character’s plight, which is accomplished by placing them in her shoes. Furthermore, this game hopes to force its users to reconsider how the current state of reproductive rights has the potential to change a woman’s life - for better or for worse.
