But has COVID-19 really been a challenge to healthcare philanthropy?
We had the amazing chance to interview Ryan Cross who is the Vice President & Campaign Director at University Hospitals. He is one of main people in charge of dealing with fundraising and the philanthropic side of University Hospital's mission. He provided us wonderful information regarding the pandemic and how it is affecting donations to UH.

What we learned through this interview and extensive research is that yes, COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on the healthcare sector in the last year, but it has actually helped the healthcare nonprofit sector. There have been increasing amounts of donations to hospitals and other nonprofit healthcare institutions because they need to combat this pandemic. Though, there have been tough hits in certain areas such as allocating consistent donations to help provide more PPE and other equipment to fight coronavirus, more and more donations are surging in to help those in need of treatment.
