With a campus location that allowed for expansion and the increased enrollment, the School was in a good position to grow. 

The curiculum was continously adapting to the economy by adding new courses and expansion were added to the curriculum During his tenure at Case between 1886-1902, President Cady Staley responded to the changes in engineering education by adding mechanical (1886), mining (1887), and electrical (1892) departments. and laboratory with modern equipment were open.
