Memory and Resistance is a juried art exhibition that celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the InterReligious Task Force on Central America and Colombia (IRTF). IRTF was formed in response to the deaths of four women, two from Cleveland, Jean Donovan and Ursuline Sister, Dorothy Kazel, two Sisters from Maryknoll, Maura Clarke and Ita Ford, along with thousands of Central American people, while working in solidarity with their communities in El Salvador during the Civil War in 1980. The spirit of the 40th Anniversary theme, Memory and Resistance is seen and felt in the artwork expressing contemporary justice issues of our time as well as artwork honoring the memories of past and present advocates.
